Confidentiality

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in psychotherapy.  It is essential for patients to have a safe and trusting environment within which to work. I try to create an environment that supports, facilitates and encourages honesty, openness and non-judgment.

I abide by all HIPAA standards as they relate to the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (see HIPAA link) and by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers as well as by all current legal standards.

A privacy policy will be handed out during the first session and must be signed by all patients.
